Despite the essence of the original SoR is not clearly shown, and of course, it also cannot be compared to the famous Spanish’s remake Streets of Rage Remake, yet Streets of Rage: XXX is still a good remake edition that is worth to collect for many SoR fan players. Overall, Streets of Rage: XXX’s very low difficulty which is more suitable for entry level players, as well as “civilized” g ame fighting (much gentler than the Streets of Rage 3: Yesterday Once More). In addition, it has basically made a nostalgic feeling with complete gameplot, art design and originality. So to the latter part I simply just run all the way, just want to draw as many enemies as possible, otherwise it is easy to nod off. And what really makes me feel a little unfortunate is, compared with the player character’s more and stronger skills, the enemies are all too weak, very few challenging opponents we will meet. In Streets of Rage: XXX, the joining of energy bar is kind of creative, but I don’t know why the author abandoned the original weapon props (also may be the former OpenBOR engine’s problem). This is the original edition of Streets of Rage: XXX (another remake edition of SoR series) with 8 playable characters, made by an 80’s fan player from China. Later it was modified many times by more fan players (later I will release one of its enhanced edition).
